Students Fight for Trans Rights
Student Walk-out and Public Demonstration
Nebraska Republicans are currently working to pass bills that would restrict the personal freedoms of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals in the state, including:

-
LB 574, which would ban gender affirming care for anyone under the age of 19.
-
LB 575, which would ban transgender individuals from competing in school sports that are consistent with their gender identity.
-
LB 371, which would criminally ban drag shows intended for all-ages.
These bills are clear attempts at restricting the rights and freedoms of transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals within our state.
We cannot let these bigoted politicians win.

Now is the time to show our politicians that we will not allow hatred and bigotry to thrive within our state, and we will not sit back and allow them to pass legislation that would restrict our right to freely express our gender however we may choose. Stand up for the rights of transgender Nebraskans by joining the walk-out at University of Nebraska, Omaha, and the march and demonstration at Memorial Park on Monday, April 24th.
